The adventures of the study abroad group continued as we went to a chocolate workshop. This magical Willy Wonka wonderland started with a few pictures being taken.

We soon after were shuffled into a small theater to learn the history of chocolate and to learn how the Heindl chocolate company works and who and how they source their chocolate. Afterwards, we went to a workshop to make our own chocolate. After quick instructions we got to work. Many got creative and crafty as we started to make different designs and fun shapes for our chocolates.

While we set these tasty desserts in their fridge we toured the rest of the chocolate museum. This lead us to being able to taste unsweetened chocolate and 3 fountains of chocolate.

As we toured the factory, it was a marvelous feat of human design as we looked at the many stages of chocolate making throughout the ages starting with the Olmec leading all the way to modern chocolate. It was intriguing to see how they moved the chocolate around the factory and how they transport all the finished products out the door. After this tour we finished up at the shop where we could buy any sweet treat bundle our hearts did desire.
