A group of friends and I went to the water the other day to refresh ourselves amidst the humidity of Dresden.
We took a tram across the town for about twenty minutes, then we hiked through a field of grass that was cut by a walking path.
Before the pathway we admired the modern yet old looking architecture of the neighborhood houses. One of them we could see the old brick layer hiding yet still exposed.
We could hear children shouting and having fun so we knew we were in the right spot. One thing about Europe or at least the countries we have been to is : there are a lot of children! Nothing can make someone happier than seeing a smiling baby on a swing. Am I right?
We made a splash in the water which was not nearly as cold as Lake Superior on a good day. The lake was a small, man-made body of water surrounded by grass. They also had a water slide which pull vaults you into the water at an incredible rate.
There was a pool about 10 meters from the lake that was filled about knee length with extremely cold water — about Lake Superior temperature.
After swimming we each departed and found a place to eat. Francis and I discovered this cute restaurant that is both colorful and has crepes. It is called the Dutch Pancake House.
Thanks for listening and I hope everyone gets to visit Dresden at some point in their life.
