It was on and off raining on Tuesday but that definitely didn't stop us from seeing Český Krumlov Castle and the castle's theatre.
I cannot show you what the inside of the castle looks like since we cannot take pictures, but the outside is still stunning. In the Renaissance period they painted almost everything, which as a scenic artist really intrigued me. The level of detail over the entire castle was just stunning, and there was no stone unturned when it came to details. They even included birds sitting on little some ledges.
But the thing that really blew my mind about the castle was the masquerade ball room.
Like I said, pictures aren't allowed so I found an image from their website so you could see some of the beauty of the room. It is full of optical illusions, and 135 painted figures around the room. All serving different purposes and incredibly realistic. Josef Lederer painted the room in half a year, which is the even more impressive part!
